DAY 2 LATERAL FLOW TEST 

Fully Vaccinated passengers and most under 18’s arriving from countries not on the Red List are required to take a Day 2 Lateral Flow Test on or before Day 2 of their arrival into the UK. 
Passengers can choose from In-Clinic tests or Home Test Kits where you will have access to our user friendly platform. Once you have registered your Home Test will be despatched to you, or an appointment will need to be made for an In-Clinic Test. 
Registration is mandatory. It is important that registration is completed in order to receive your unique ID Code. This will be required for your Passenger Locator Form and also to identify you when sending out your certification. 
 
If you are registering for a Home Day 2 Lateral Flow Test, please ensure your delivery address is correct. This is the address you will be residing at the time of taking your Day 2 Lateral Flow Test. This may be different to your Billing address. 
 
If you would prefer to have an In-Clinic Day 2 Lateral Flow Test, then it is important to call us 01234 711976 to make an appointment. 
Once you have submitted your Registration, you will receive a confirmation email from our partner North London Laboratory as well as your ID Code which you will need for your Passenger Locator Form. We advise our customers to check their SPAM/JUNK folders for email correspondence. Please check your information is correct. 
Please ensure you place you order in advance of when you need it. Kits will be despatched Monday – Friday. 
Your Day 2 Lateral Flow Test can be taken on Day 0 (the day you land), Day 1 or Day 2. 
Each Test Kit will be despatched with full instructions for use. It is important that instructions are read in full prior to using the Test Kit. Once you have followed the instructions and completed your test you will be able to submit documentation to obtain your Test Certificate. 
Once your results have been analysed by a trained member of our team, you will receive your results and Test Certificate via email. 
Anyone who tests positive should follow the advise on your Day 2 Lateral Flow Test Certificate and will need to self isolate and take a confirmatory PCR test. PCR Tests can be accessed free of charge by ordering in the usual way through NHS Test and Trace via nhs.uk/Coronavirus or by calling 119. 

DAY 2 AND 8 PCR TEST 

If you are entering England, and have NOT been in a Red List Country or Territory in the 10 days before you enter England and you have NOT been vaccinated under an approved Vaccination Programme, then you will have a legal duty to self-isolate for 10 days. You will also be required to take a Day 2 And 8 PCR Test. (See rules for Red List, which apply whether you are fully vaccinated to not). 
Passengers can choose from In-Clinic Tests or request Home Test Kits. Once you have registered, your Home Test Kit will be despatched to you, or an appointment will need to be made for an In-Clinic Test.

You must self-isolate for the time that you are in England, up to 10 days. You must book both the Day 2 And 8 PCR Tests, prior to arriving in England, regardless of how long you are staying in The country. You only need to take the tests if you are still in England on those days. 
If you test positive on your Day 2 PCR Test then you do not have to take a Day 8 Test but you must continue with your 10 day isolation period. 
If you test positive on your Day 8 PCR Test then you must re-start your 10 day isolation period. The day you took the test is Day 0. 

DAY 5 TEST TO RELEASE PCR TEST 

Arrivals into England, who are not fully vaccinated and therefore need to follow the guidelines of the compulsory Day 2 and 8 PCR test, have the option to end their 10 day quarantine period by taking a Day 5 Test to Release PCR Test. This test is voluntary and applies to those quarantining in England only. If you choose not to take a Day 5 Test then you must quarantine for 10 days. 
When booking your Day 5 Test to Release PCR Test you will be required to book for each person opting into the Day 5 Test to Release Scheme. Ideally book your Day 5 Test to Release PCR Test at the same time as your compulsory tests (Day 2/8) prior to arriving in England. 
 
Once you have registered you will receive your unique ID Code. This will be required for your Passenger Locator Form and also to identify you when sending out your certification. Your code will be sent out in the following format ‘NLLAB0000000’. You will receive one code per person which will be used for your Day 2, Day 5 (optional TTR) and Day 8 Test. 
 
Should you decide to opt into the Day 5 Test to Release PCR Test after you have arrived in England, you will need to complete another Passenger Locator Form. 
Once you have submitted your Registration, you will receive a confirmation email from our Partner, North London Laboratory Limited as well as your ID Code for your Day 2, 5 And 8 PCR Test, which you will need for your Passenger Locator Form. If opting into the Day 5 Test to Release PCR Test after you have arrived in England, you will need to complete another Passenger Locator Form. We advise our customers to check their SPAM/JUNK folders for email correspondence. Please check your information is correct. 
Please ensure you place your order in advance of when you need it. Where possible please order your Day 5 Test to Release PCR Test with your Day 2 and 8 Test. Due to the time sensitivity of your Day 5 Test to Release PCR Test we advise that you make an appointment with us to have an In-Clinic Test. Please call 01234 711976. 
Your Day 5 Test to Release PCR test should be taken no earlier than the 5th full day after your arrival in England. If you arrive on a Monday, then your first full day is Tuesday and your fifth day is Saturday. 
Once your results have been analysed by a trained member of our team, you will receive your results and Test Certificate via email. 
If you test negative for your Day 5 Test to Release PCR test (and the result of your Day 2 was negative or inconclusive) you can stop your quarantine as soon as you receive the result. You still need to take the compulsory test on or after Day 8. 
Should you test positive for your Day 5 Test to Release PCR Test or your Day 8, then you will need to start quarantine for a further 10 days from the day after you took the test, or from when you first had symptoms, if that is earlier. If your Day 5 Test to Release result is Positive, you do not need to take your Day 8. 
If the result from your Day 5 Test to Release PCR Test is inconclusive then you must continue to quarantine. Should you choose to end your quarantine early, then you must purchase another Day 5 Test to Release PCR Test. 

RULES FOR CHILDREN 

Children under 4 are NOT required to take any Covid 19 travel tests. 
 
Whether vaccinated or not children aged between 5 and 17, who are resident in UK or in a country with an approved proof of vaccination do not have to quarantine on arrival to England. 
 
Pre-register (prior to arriving in England) and take (on Day 0 Arrival Day, Day 1 or Day 2) a Day 2 Lateral Flow Test. However, they will NOT be required to take a Covid 19 test prior to travelling to England. 
 
If a child tests positive they should follow the advice on their Day 2 Lateral Flow Test Certificate and will need to self isolate and take a confirmatory PCR test. PCR Tests can be accessed free of charge by ordering in the usual way through NHS Test and Trace via nhs.uk/Coronavirus or by calling 119.

Children aged between 5 and 17 who are resident in any country that is NOT on the approved proof of vaccination list must: 
 
Take a Covid 19 Test prior to travelling to England (aged 11 and above) 
 
Pre-register (prior to arrival in England) and take a Day 2 PCR on or before Day 2 of arrival in England. (Arrival day is day 0) 
 
Pre-register (prior to arrival in England) and take a Day 8 PCR on or after Day 8 in England. (Arrival day is day 0). 
 
Quarantine for 10 days at home or in the place you are staying for a full 10 days or for the duration of your stay if less than 10 days. 
 
If a child tests positive on Day 2 PCR Test then they do not have to take a Day 8 Test but must continue with 10 day isolation period. 
If a child tests positive on Day 8 PCR Test then they must re-start their 10 day isolation period. The day they took the test is Day 0.
